Freshly baked .... Mugs
Find out how I make them 🙂
All of the design on the mugs I draw by hand first. After making a digital image of the drawing,
they are printed with ceramic inks on sheets. These images I can place where ever I like on the blank mugs.
The mugs are then baked in a kiln at approximately 900 degrees Celcius. Which takes about 6 hours to bake
and another 12 to cool down. In the pictures below you can see inside the kiln. I can stack about 24 mugs at once.
The little triangles you see on the edge of the kiln are used to stack 2 mugs onto each other. It is important that the mugs
don’t touch each other directly during firing. Stacking all the mugs in the kiln is sort of a puzzle 🙂
